Tumbling Blocks
This Tumbling Blocks quilt was made by Miss Harriet Dixie in Wales in the early 19th century and is on display at the museum. When she died in 1856 the quilt was sent to her son who had migrated to Australia and settled in Corryong. The quilt was passed down through the generations before being donated to the Museum in 1980. The quilt, made of silk and satin, is framed to protect the many sample of materials from early 1800s.
